Day 7

Today we're suppose to meet at 1 but we tried to come as early as we could as the other class had to use the 2D lab for presentation! so i came at 11 plus and by then clari was there already and so we did some more scenes for the animatic and blogged. then andrea and tri came and we compiled everything in the 3D lab. it's almost completed! :D just need to add sound effects and such. ;]

well this project has been pretty fun, though it got more stressful towards the end cause we had to rush some of the animations and all. i guess we didn't really plan before we started on our project. but i'm pretty happy and proud about how it has turned out (so far)...hopefully the presentation turns out well! can't wait to see what the other groups did...then after today's presentation, it's....holiday!! woot woot!! :D:D well it's only for two weeks...but at least it's something. ;]

After the presentation
yea so it's done! it turned out pretty damn good. three other lecturers and amanda were there for the presentations and i think they enjoyed all the group's animatics. ;] my favourite has got to be yi chuin's group's animatic. the visuals are awesome and it had this scene which i found pretty touching...the one where the begger fed his bread crumbs to the birds even though he's hungry himself. ;'] all the other groups did really well also! and i'm really happy about how ours came out, though i'm sure we can do better if we had more time.

anyways, thanks to my group mates for putting their time and effort into this! and i have especially say a huge thanks to tri cos without her there, i don't think we could have done this much in such a little time. ;]

Day 6

Today we all met up for project work in the 2D lab again...supposed to meet at 1 but i was late. :X but when i got there clari and dion were there only and so we waited for tri and then we scanned all the drawings and all and coloured them on photoshop.

then i animated verse 1, tri did the chorus and clarissa did verse 2. anyway, i also got the poster, CD cover and namecards printed...and cut them. they look pretty darn good to me! ;] andrea is going to do the budgeting, timeline and all that and dion helped out with the animations as well. oh yea tri did the powerpoint as well! stayed till 10 plus in the lab trying to get our work done! but we can't finish it by today though...there were some drawings missing...and so we'll have to leave some scenes till tomorrow. hopefully we can finish it in time!

Day 5

today we were all suppose to meet at 1 in the afternoon...but dion was late and andrea was somewhere else...since tri and dion were supposed to do the drawing, she couldn't really do much until he came...but which waiting, tri showed us the company logo that she did and it's called "sketch productions". :] the logo is really nice! and tri also did the cd cover! :D yay she's awesome. ;] clarissa worked on the poster and i did the name cards. then after dion arrived we all had a little discussion on our roles and the positions we each wanted on the namecards...then after tri and dion sort out what they're going to draw, tri and i left early cause i can't start on the animating without the drawings...so we have to leave that till tomorrow!

meanwhile, i went on to finish up the name card. yea so till next post...ta!

Day 4

it's monday! and my group members and i met up in the morning. clarissa and tri were there first and so we picked out the ideas and shots that we thought were nice from each one of us, and tried to put them together so that they would flow. after we got most of it down, andrea and later dion arrived and put in some of their ideas.

after that we quickly put it into a powerpoint for presentation...it's pretty rough but at least it gets our idea across. we were the first to present and amanda ma (our lecturer) gave us some suggestions on how we can improve our animatic. some of which are really good and we're going to take up her suggestions. ;] so after that the other groups presented their storyboards and we all went home! yea! going to meet up tomorrow to do our project.

Day 3

Yea so it's mother's day! ;] did most of the frames in the morning and afternoon and then my family had to go to our grandma's house...yea. i don't think i can complete all the frames by tomorrow...but at least most of it is complete and i got thumbnails to show...so my group members will get the general idea.

isn't that a short post? ;] well nothing much to write really...

Day 2

Today i got to work! took up most of my time, but i did little thumbnails for my storyboard yesterday night and i found references for the car and all cause i can't really picture the object to well without references.

soooo anyway, since mother's day is tomorrow, germ (my twin) and i treated our mom to dinner. :] i feel so damn full! yea my stomach's happy. ;] gotta work on the frames tomorrow...

Day 1

So this is my first post in a brand new blog...but its content aren't exactly going to be very...well...personal. Or exciting either i bet. This blog will track my group's progress on an assignment for a module we're learning in temasek polytechnic. Ahh man honestly it can be quite a pain to write blog about group work and progress and all...and believe me i know cos i had to keep one for two months for my first year final project! :S Had about 35 posts if i'm not wrong! thank goodness this assignment is only going to last for a week. phew. :b Yea.

So basically, my group consist of Clarissa, Dion, Andrea and Tri! ;] We're suppose to do a short animatic for a part of a song. We're given two choices, "What if she's an angel" by tommy shane steiner and some other song whose title i don't remember. My group picked the former...well cause it sounds better to me musically...though honestly both songs aren't exactly to my taste. :b


Anyway, we have to do a presentation on it on next thursday...and we must have a slide presentation as well which include our mood board, storyboards, promotional materials and collaterals. so we're going to each do a storyboard and show it to each other on monday before class, so that we can pick out the shots that we like...hopefully it'll all turn out good. :]
